HOOKER HOUSE UPDATE

September 6, 2007

HAPPY LABOR DAY

We have submitted our house plans to some builders to get estimates. We can't believe that the time is passing so quickly! The name of our subdivision is Fleur de Lis and it is at the intersection of Nail Road and Pleasant Hill Road. Visit our Lot Page to get a better idea. Also visit our Fleur de Lis Gallery to see pics of the neighborhood and house plan.

We're both on Nutrisystem and are doing well so far. We are excited about getting in shape for the coming summer. We try to exercise 30 mins each day, but that doesn't happen every day - life, ya know? Hopefully we won't fall off the wagon this Holiday season (although if Annette will make some divinity, I'll be awfully tempted).

DAVID: I'm OFFICIALLY a SENIOR!! The schedule my senior year is awesome! You can see where I train here. I've interviewed at Baptist Desoto in Southaven and I'm also looking at NMMC in Tupelo for my "real job". I'm doing some moonlighting around and am really enjoying the extra experience in the private setting. I'm off to Seattle next month for the ACEP conference. It will be the first time I have gone and I'm really looking forward to it. We're off for a family vacation to Disney in November and then going to a conference in Hawaii in December. We're packing our bags for some major travelin'.

CHRISSY: Chrissy is staying at home with Jackson this year and getting our house ready for the sale in the spring. She's just gotten done with renovating the front bath (about the only room we haven't done) and it looks great. She's getting ready to start making our Christmas cards because we're going to be going places this fall. She still likes to find time for Stampin' Up and digital scrapbooking (check out her blog), but the digital part's on hold for now (Thanks a lot Windows Vista). We'll get her some new software so that she can get her digital scrappin' going again soon.

JOSHUA: Josh is in the second grade at Northside Elementary in Ms. Peacock's class - right across the street from our house! He is really enjoying being in the gifted program this year (QUEST) - only 5 of 350 first graders were accepted! He will be learning to play chess among other things his father still can't do. He went to Twin Lakes with Wilson this summer and I think they ended up having a great time. Swimming lessons went well and he is getting much better.

WILSON: Wilson is in Ms. Miller's class in Kindergarten at Pearl Lower. He is still adjusting to having to sit still in class (something he's never been very good at), but is doing very well with his academics. He went with Josh to Twin Lakes for a summer day camp where they spent the last night away from home. There were mixed emotions at first, but he ended up having a great time.

JACKSON: Jackson is running around and getting into EVERYTHING. He's jabbering up a storm and his word vocabulary is getting bigger every day. He's still catching up some, but is doing a great job and going strong! Born January 6, 2006, at 12:05 p.m., Jackson weighed 4 lbs 14 oz and was 18" long. Check out PicasaWeb for pics and videos!
